The benefits of singing are well known: we have been doing it for millennia and it is estimated that currently 2.8 million people are in a choir in the UK.

From plainsong, to Gareth Malone, from madrigals to Rock Choir and from Brahms to Barbershop, so many of us know the joy it can bring. Why not join a choir?

Bedford Sings will from 2026 have two main activities:

• the creation of a youth choir drawn from the 6 schools involved in the Peace on Earth Project as part of the Black Voices Festival

• .a festival of singing in choirs (Oct 14-18 2026).
