Bedford Sings Youth Choir…

and we are off!

Charlotte Brosnan led out first rehearsal this week. Young choristers (Years 5/6) from 6 schools came together to form the Bedford Sings Youth Choir and from the very first exercise were all focused, enthusiastic and energetic.

Having recently taken some trustees to see the inspirational Barnsley Youth Choirs this first rehearsal will be the first step on a long journey of pleasure for these singers..

We are working towards a sharing on 14th July at Biddenham International College in Bedford and already have fates fro the autumn.

Huge thanks to all the young people, volunteers, heads, staff and trustees for making this such an exciting beginning.

The Youth Choir grew out of the success of recent collaborative projects with local schools, which revealed a strong appetite for singing. The choir is non-selective, form the initial six participating schools. Bedford Sings plans to expand the programme into a family of youth choirs over the next five years, helping establish Bedford as a vibrant centre for choral singing.
