Bedford sings aims to develop choral singing in and around Bedford.

The benefits of singing are well known: we have been doing it for millennia and it is estimated that currently 2.8 million people are in a choir in the UK.

From plainsong, to Gareth Malone, from madrigals to Rock Choir and from Brahms to Barbershop, so many of us know the joy it can bring.

Bedford sings was born out of years of creating and conducting choirs, attending choral concerts, writing for them and simply wanting to celebrate the joy of singing together in Bedford.

Bedford sings’ first manifestation will be a week of events which bring choirs together to sing to, and learn from, each other. There’s also plenty of chance to take part.

We have some fantastic concerts which will sow the seeds of our long-term ambitions to develop singing for all - young and old.
